Fact-Checks Debunk Viral Images and Videos Linked to Indian Political Events
Three viral claims related to political events in India have been debunked. An image purportedly showing a large crowd at the INDIA bloc's Delhi rally is from a 2019 Left Front event in Kolkata. A video of Rahul Gandhi linking Delhi pollution to vote theft dates back to December 2025 and is not recent. A video claimed to show Delhi Police protesting is actually footage of Gujarat Forest Department personnel striking in Gandhinagar. These clarifications address misinformation circulating on social media.
