BMC Elections: Voter ID and 12 Other Documents Accepted for Polling

For the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, voters can use either a voter photo ID card or any of 12 alternative government-issued identity proofs to cast their ballot. These include Aadhaar card, passport, driving license, and PAN card, among others. Approximately 1.03 crore voters are eligible to vote across 227 civic wards. Election officials have also distributed voter information slips to assist voters, and measures are in place to ensure facilities for all, including persons with disabilities.
