SP MLA Rais Shaikh Calls for Joint Opposition Panel to Monitor Maharashtra's Electoral Roll Revision

Samajwadi Party MLA Rais Shaikh has urged the formation of a Joint Action Committee (JAC) comprising all opposition parties to oversee Maharashtra's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He expressed concerns about potential irregularities, including unlawful removal of minority and marginalized groups from voter lists. Shaikh called for an urgent meeting during the state assembly's budget session to discuss transparency measures, legal oversight, and citizen awareness to ensure fairness in the SIR process.
