Residents blame ongoing tunnel construction by the NHAI for the structural damage, citing blasting and "unscientific" hill cutting. Officials have ordered a halt to blasting and formed a committee to investigate. Affected families, including children and the elderly, spent hours on the street in cold temperatures before temporary lodging was arranged.
