Andhra Pradesh Government Highlights Welfare Initiatives for Muslim Minority

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed the state government's commitment to the economic and political empowerment of Muslims and other minorities during a Ramzan Iftar event. He highlighted welfare initiatives including the NTR Bharosa pension scheme benefiting over 4.3 lakh Muslims, educational support through the Thalliki Vandanam scheme, and financial aid to Imams and Mouzams. The government has increased minority welfare allocations to Rs 6,090 crore for FY 2026-27 and declared Urdu as the state's second official language.
