Authorities Plan Legal Action to Recover Pending Dues from Netams Sugar Factory

Around 500 sugarcane farmers from Nagari and Sathyavedu protested at Netams Sugar Factory in Chittoor district, demanding clearance of pending dues totaling approximately ₹36-37 crore from the 2019-20 crushing season. The factory has been closed since then. District Collector Sumit Kumar reviewed the issue and directed officials to initiate legal action through the National Company Law Tribunal to recover payments owed to over 1,500 farmers and factory employees, aiming for prompt resolution.
