The Supreme Court has ruled that concealing criminal history is an abuse of the judicial process and warrants outright rejection of a bail plea. A bench of justices Sanjay Kumar and Alok Aradhe emphasized that petitioners failing to disclose past criminal involvement deserve no indulgence and are not entitled to a hearing on merits. The ruling came while dismissing a murder accused's bail petition for falsely claiming no prior criminal cases, highlighting that such suppression deliberately misleads the court.
