Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that recent talks hosted by Saudi Arabia with Afghanistan yielded no results, similar to previous discussions in Turkiye and Qatar. Dar emphasized that improving bilateral relations hinges on Afghanistan's commitment to its pledges, particularly regarding counterterrorism cooperation. He welcomed a recent fatwa by Afghan scholars against fighting beyond Afghan soil and statements from the Interior Minister that Afghan territory will not be used against other nations. Dar indicated that significant progress within weeks could lead to a reconsideration of Pakistan's stance.
