Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have been placed on high alert following intelligence reports of potential terror activity, including the movement of Over-Ground Workers (OGWs) in Srinagar. Multi-layered security measures, including intensified vehicle checks and anti-sabotage operations, have been implemented in key areas. Additional personnel have been deployed to manage increased tourist footfall, particularly in Gulmarg and Pahalgam. A joint search operation was also launched near the Line of Control in Poonch following suspected drone activity, and security along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been enhanced.
