The Election Commission of India (ECI) has instructed West Bengal district election officials to halt hearings for voters marked as "unmapped" in the BLO app due to a technical glitch. This issue stems from incomplete conversion of the 2002 electoral rolls into CSV format, causing linkage failures. Despite being unmapped, many electors have valid links to the original 2002 rolls. Hearing notices for these cases should not be served, and verification will proceed through electoral registration officers and district election officers.
