Punjab CM Mann Highlights Police Modernization and Border Security Efforts

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated 2,577 new police recruits in Jalandhar, emphasizing the Punjab Police's role in combating Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and securing the international border. Since March 2022, over 12,000 personnel have been recruited, with Rs 1,100 crore allocated for modernization, including AI integration and specialized units. Mann highlighted anti-drug efforts under the 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' campaign and stressed the force's responsibility in protecting both Punjab and the nation against cross-border threats and internal challenges.
