Punjab CM Mann Highlights Police Modernization and Fight Against Pakistan-Sponsored Terrorism

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed a passing out parade of 2,577 newly recruited Punjab Police personnel, emphasizing the force's role in combating Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and securing the international border. Since March 2022, over 12,000 police staff have been recruited, with Rs 1,100 crore allocated for modernization, including AI integration and specialized units to tackle cybercrime, drug trafficking, and terrorism. Mann highlighted successful anti-narcotics operations under the 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' campaign and reaffirmed the police's commitment to maintaining peace and national security.
