Rajya Sabha MP Haris Beeran has written to the Election Commission of India highlighting several issues faced by overseas electors during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Kerala. He pointed out that the EC website's IP restrictions create a barrier for global accessibility, and the 'Place of Birth' field in Form 6A excludes citizens born abroad. Beeran also requested provisions for online hearings or authorized representatives for expatriates and an extension for 'No Mapping' cases.
