Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced plans to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay the foundation stone for the Dharavi Redevelopment Project. He assured eligible residents, settled before January 1, 2000, will receive 350 sq ft homes within Dharavi. Those settling between 2000 and 2011 may get 300 sq ft units elsewhere. The project, now led by Adani Group, faces opposition from Shiv Sena (UBT) and Congress, with Fadnavis also promising housing for ineligible residents and a tax holiday for local businesses.
