Telangana CEO Urges Political Parties to Appoint BLAs Ahead of Electoral Roll Revision

Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudharshan Reddy has urged political parties to appoint at least one Booth Level Agent (BLA) per polling station ahead of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. BLAs, preferably from local areas, are to coordinate closely with Booth Level Officers to ensure accuracy and transparency. The SIR is underway in 12 states, with Telangana's schedule expected in April-May 2026. Preparatory mapping and field visits have begun to verify elector details.
