Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena-UBT and Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have formed an alliance for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, scheduled for January 15. The cousins will jointly address rallies starting January 5 across Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, aiming to secure a Marathi mayor. The alliance has drawn criticism from the BJP, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis accusing the Thackeray brothers of revealing their true intentions and predicting a sweep for the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition.
