Former President Ram Nath Kovind launched the Responsible Nations Index (RNI), a global framework developed by the World Intellectual Foundation with academic support from Jawaharlal Nehru University and IIM Mumbai. The RNI evaluates 154 countries based on responsibility towards citizens, the environment, and the global community using 58 indicators across three pillars. Singapore ranks first, India 16th, and the United States 66th. The index aims to shift focus from power and economic strength to ethical governance and sustainable development.
