The pre-poll alliance between the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the BJP has faced significant challenges over seat-sharing for upcoming civic polls in Maharashtra. While state leaders like Uday Samant assert the alliance remains intact for 29 municipal corporations, local units in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad report a breakdown.
