Punjab BJP Chief Sunil Jakhar criticized the AAP government's decision to hold a special assembly session on December 30, 2025. He labeled it a 'propaganda exercise' against the Centre's Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, which replaces MGNREGA. Jakhar accused the AAP government of failing on all fronts and misleading the poor, suggesting the session should instead address the state's deteriorating law and order situation and alleged corruption in the MGNREGA scheme.
