President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to undertake a submarine sea sortie from Karwar Harbour, Karnataka, on December 28. This will make her the second Indian President to experience a submarine journey, following Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The sortie is part of her four-day tour of Goa, Karnataka, and Jharkhand, which also includes engagements with the armed forces, cultural events, and academic ceremonies. She previously flew in Rafale and Sukhoi fighter jets.
