
The Rajkot Municipal Corporation completed a two-day demolition drive removing 1,489 illegal structures in the Jangleshwar area, including 497 on the TP Road and 992 along the Aji riverbank. The cleared land totals approximately 88,750 square meters, valued at over Rs 350 crore. The operation involved 1,512 municipal staff and 2,900 police personnel. The area was prone to flooding, and 1,378 residents were relocated. The demolition included various structures, from shanties to over 200 bungalow-like houses. Debris removal is ongoing.
