Union Minister Reviews Jharkhand's Urban Development and Power Sector Plans
Union Minister Manohar Lal announced that Jharkhand will receive Rs 1,900 crore over four years under the Urban Challenge Fund to enhance urban infrastructure and living conditions. The state plans to submit projects worth Rs 7,600 crore for approval. During his visit, Lal also reviewed power sector issues, urging coordinated efforts to reduce losses, reorganize DISCOM debt, and accelerate smart meter installations, alongside discussions on urban development and electrification initiatives for tribal households.
