The Delhi High Court has ordered the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to vacate and restore the Yamuna floodplain area it occupies by March 31, 2026. The court expressed surprise that DMRC continued to operate batching plants and a casting yard despite earlier directives to shift. While granting an extension until March 2026 for dismantling equipment, the court mandated that the area be returned to its original condition without debris. The Delhi Development Authority is to file a compliance report by April 10.
