India Pledges Earthquake Relief Support and Endorses Myanmar-Led Peace Process

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted India’s ongoing support to Myanmar during the inauguration of the Indian-assisted Sarsobeikman Literary Centre in Yangon. India plans to deliver technical equipment for earthquake relief next month, continuing its humanitarian aid since the 2025 Mandalay earthquake. Jaishankar emphasized India’s backing of a Myanmar-led peace process aimed at lasting stability and development, underscoring the countries’ close cultural and strategic ties.
