An outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea has affected over 1,100 people in Indore's Bhagirathpura area, with 111 hospitalized. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya acknowledged a lapse in contaminated drinking water supply, promising strict action against guilty officials regardless of their position. While stating that patient numbers are declining, he deferred commenting on fatalities pending an official inquiry to distinguish between natural deaths and those linked to the incident. The government is covering all medical treatment costs.
