Authorities in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, demolished 10 illegal shrines inside the Maharaja Suheldev Autonomous State Medical College campus on January 19, following a legal process initiated in 2002. The shrines were built on encroached land adjacent to the registered Rasul Shah Baswari mazar, which was spared. Despite multiple court rulings upholding their removal, the illegal structures remained until the recent action, which was conducted peacefully with police and administrative officials present.
