Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) spokesperson Yogesh Chile alleged that opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidates in Panvel are being paid Rs 60 lakh to withdraw their candidatures, allowing ruling BJP-led Mahayuti candidates to win unopposed. Chile claimed pressure is being exerted on candidates' families and that some have gone missing. Similar instances were reported in Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation, where opposition candidates withdrew, leading to unopposed victories for BJP candidates. MNS city president Manoj Gharat's withdrawal in Dombivli also resulted in an unopposed BJP win.
