Uttarakhand's Uniform Civil Code (UCC) marks its first anniversary with over 4.7 lakh marriages registered digitally, significantly streamlining the previously offline process. The UCC enables online applications for marriage registration, divorce, wills, and live-in relationship records, with nearly 100% of services processed through a secure, faceless portal. The system has improved efficiency, raising daily marriage registrations from 67 to about 1,400, and has maintained strict privacy protections, with no reported complaints in the past year.
