Jammu and Kashmir's Counter Intelligence unit has intensified its crackdown on alleged anti-national propaganda networks. A special court in Srinagar issued proclamations against individuals accused of running a misinformation campaign, using social media to incite violence and disrupt normal life. The accused, reportedly posing as journalists and news portals, are alleged to have circulated fake content to create disaffection against the Union of India. The case involves charges under the IPC and UAPA for promoting enmity and public mischief.
