SGPC Demands FIR Against AAP's Atishi Over Alleged Sikh Guru Remarks in Delhi Assembly

A delegation from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) met Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golchha, demanding an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi Marlena for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Sikh Gurus during the Delhi Assembly session on January 6. The SGPC claimed the remarks, recorded in official proceedings, hurt Sikh religious sentiments amid the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Atishi and AAP denied the allegations, asserting the video circulated was doctored and politically motivated. The Delhi Assembly has referred the matter to its Privileges Committee for further examination.
