Maharashtra Budget 2026-27 Unveils Major Metro, Road, Airport, and Port Projects

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented the 2026-27 state budget, announcing major infrastructure projects across Pune, Mumbai, and other regions. Key initiatives include Pune Metro Phase 2 expansion with new routes linking the airport, development of Purandar Airport, and road projects like a 54 km double underpass in Pune. Mumbai will see Metro Line 11 to Gateway of India, Bandra-Versova Sea Link completion by 2028, a Sewri-Worli Connector, and a new port at Vadhavan. The budget also includes elevated roads, rail line expansions, and innovation hubs to boost connectivity and economic growth.
