
Uttar Pradesh's Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna stated that a zero-tolerance policy against crime has yielded significant results. Data released indicates that from March 2017 to December 2025, police actions led to the killing of 266 criminals and the arrest of over 33,000, with 18 police personnel losing their lives. The state also seized or demolished mafia assets worth over ₹4,137 crore, with total criminal asset seizures exceeding ₹145 billion. Operation Conviction, launched in July 2023, resulted in over 1,25,000 convictions by December 2025.
