A Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Sabarimala gold loss case suspects more gold was lost than recovered. The SIT filed an application seeking custody of three accused, alleging that 42.100 kg of gold-clad copper plates were handed for electroplating in 2019, with remaining gold allegedly siphoned off. Accused confessed to taking gold as fees, with amounts produced later claimed as equivalent to the original fees.
