Clash Between BJP and Konark Vikas Aghadi Supporters in Bhiwandi After Municipal Polls

A violent clash occurred on January 18 in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, between supporters of BJP MLA Mahesh Choughule and Konark Vikas Aghadi (KVA) leader Vilas Patil following municipal election results. Both sides accused each other of initiating stone-pelting and assaults, with police intervening and using lathicharge to restore order. Six people, including two police officers, were injured. The police are investigating the incident amid heightened tensions after the elections where BJP won 22 seats and KVA secured four.
