Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani has denied a further extension to Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Chandrashekhar Chore, whose extended tenure ended December 31, 2025. Prashant Gaikwad, Deputy Municipal Commissioner from the finance department, will now hold the OSD post. Chore's continuation faced internal opposition from other civic officials. The changes come as senior administrative shifts are anticipated post-January 15 civic elections, with three assistant municipal commissioners promoted to deputy municipal commissioner.
