
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has chargesheeted five individuals, including a woman, in Gujarat for online radicalisation linked to the banned terror group Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). The accused used social media to spread anti-India ideologies, calling for armed revolt and establishment of a Caliphate under Sharia law. The NIA took over from ATS Gujarat, seizing weapons and digital evidence. The investigation highlighted the accused's role in disseminating extremist content to radicalise vulnerable youth.
