VACB Records Statements of Mohanlal, Dileep in Sabarimala Flag Mast Probe

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) is investigating alleged misappropriation of gold and funds related to the 2017 installation of a new flag mast at the Sabarimala temple. Statements have been recorded from film actors Mohanlal and Dileep, among 27 donors, as well as from other notable figures including Union Minister Suresh Gopi. The Kerala High Court has given VACB 30 days to complete the inquiry. The Travancore Devaswom Board report states the project was funded by Phoenix Infrastructure Pvt Ltd and included gold purchases and donations totaling over 9.5 kilograms.
