ED Arrests Former Rajasthan MLA Baljeet Yadav Over Alleged MLA Fund Misuse

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested former Rajasthan independent MLA Baljeet Yadav on February 4 for alleged embezzlement and misuse of approximately Rs 3.7 crore from MLA Local Area Development funds. The funds were reportedly diverted in a scheme involving substandard sports equipment supplied to 32 government schools in the Behror constituency during 2021-22. The ED's investigation, based on an Anti-Corruption Bureau FIR, includes allegations of forged documents and money laundering. Yadav denies the charges, calling them politically motivated.
