
Ahead of the March 16 Rajya Sabha elections, the Odisha Congress has relocated eight of its 14 MLAs to a resort in Bengaluru amid concerns over cross-voting and attempts at poaching by the BJP. The move, coordinated by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar, aims to maintain party unity and shield legislators from political bargaining. The MLAs are expected to return to Odisha before voting. Meanwhile, in Haryana, Congress MLAs have been moved to a secure location in Himachal Pradesh for similar reasons.
