Karnataka DGP Issues Statewide Guidelines for Holi Safety and Security Measures

Ahead of Holi celebrations on March 2 and 3, Karnataka DGP M.A. Saleem issued statewide guidelines directing police units to implement preventive, intelligence-based, and gender-sensitive measures. The directive emphasizes women's safety through deployment of female officers and strict action against harassment. Police will monitor communally sensitive areas and maintain 24x7 social media vigilance to prevent disputes, intoxication-related issues, and communal tensions during the festival.
