Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis virtually inaugurated the new Tardeo-Nagpada-Mumbai Central flyover in south Mumbai, replacing a 130-year-old British-era bridge declared unsafe and dismantled in 2024. The 333-metre cable-stayed flyover, completed 15 months ahead of schedule by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, aims to restore east-west connectivity and ease congestion on key roads. The structure features a 7-metre-wide carriageway with footpaths and spans railway tracks. The inauguration included Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, with the bridge opening to public traffic shortly after.
