Fifteen Maoists Including Senior Leader Vikas Surrender in Chhattisgarh

Fifteen Maoist cadres, including Special Zonal Committee member Vikas, surrendered in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district, marking the complete disarmament of the Balangir-Bargarh-Mahasamund division. The group, comprising six men and nine women, handed over various weapons. Officials highlighted this as a significant step under the state’s rehabilitation policy. Over the past two years, more than 2,700 Maoists have surrendered in Chhattisgarh amid ongoing efforts to eliminate Naxalism by March 31, 2026.
