Indian Navy's First Training Squadron Visits Singapore to Enhance Maritime Cooperation

The Indian Navy's First Training Squadron, including INS Tir, Shardul, Sujata, and Coast Guard Ship Sarathi, docked at Singapore's Changi Naval Base from January 15 to 18 as part of a long-range training deployment. This visit, aligned with the ASEAN-India Year of Maritime Cooperation 2026, involved professional exchanges, joint exercises, cultural events, and community outreach to enhance maritime cooperation and cross-cultural exposure. The squadron will continue port calls in Indonesia and Thailand, supporting India's Act East Policy and regional naval collaboration.
