
The Pune district administration is exploring options to reduce private vehicles on city roads to address pollution and traffic congestion. District Collector Jitendra Dudi clarified that while banning vehicles older than 15 years is under consideration, no final decision has been made. Authorities including the RTO, Traffic Police, and Pollution Control Board are preparing a proposal for the state government, which could affect over seven lakh vehicles. Legal and feasibility aspects are being studied before approval.
