The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has initiated tenders for a 2.25 km tunnel and 1.7 km flyover project connecting Hebbal and Mehkri Circle, aimed at easing traffic congestion. Initially approved by the Karnataka cabinet at 2,215 crore, the project's estimated cost has been revised to 1,655 crore due to alignment changes. The BDA will self-finance the project, which is expected to be completed within two years using the cut-and-open method for the tunnel.
