Security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region reported killing at least 12 Naxalites in Sukma district and two in Bijapur district on Saturday. The encounters occurred during anti-Naxalite operations in forest areas. In Bijapur, the gunfight began around 5 a.m. when a District Reserve Guard team was on an operation. In Sukma, an exchange of fire started later in the morning. Operations were ongoing, with authorities stating more details would be released later. Weapons were recovered from the sites.
