Maharashtra Parties Finalize Candidates Ahead of March Rajya Sabha Elections

Maharashtra's Rajya Sabha elections on March 16 have intensified political discussions, with seven seats contested. The ruling Mahayuti alliance, comprising BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, is expected to secure six seats, while the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi may win one. BJP has shortlisted candidates including Vinod Tawde and Ramdas Athawale, pending central approval. Meanwhile, the NCP is pushing for Sharad Pawar's re-election, seeking support from allies Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) to ensure his unanimous return.
