Around 6.8 lakh candidates appeared for the West Bengal School Service Commission's State Level Selection Test on Sunday, competing for nearly 3,000 Group C clerk posts in state-aided secondary and higher secondary schools. The exam saw an 84% attendance from 8.09 lakh registered applicants and was conducted across 1,693 centers with strict security and examination protocols. This recruitment follows a Supreme Court ruling annulling previous appointments due to irregularities, aiming to ensure a fair selection process.
