Haryana MLA Raises Concerns Over Pending Sports Awards and Recruitment Delays

Kaithal MLA Aditya Surjewala raised concerns in the Haryana Assembly about delays and rejections in applications under the state's Cash Award and scholarship schemes for athletes and coaches from 2019 to 2025. He cited government data showing thousands of pending and rejected applications. Surjewala also highlighted that while 1,057 Group-C posts were proposed for eligible sports persons, only 447 have been advertised, with recruitment processes ongoing. The Sports Minister attributed pending applications to incomplete documents and stated awards and jobs have been disbursed periodically.
