The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has lifted GRAP Stage III restrictions in Delhi-NCR due to sustained air quality improvement, with the AQI falling below the threshold. This allows BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel vehicles to operate again, provided they have a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate. Enforcement agencies will penalize vehicles with visible smoke or lacking documentation. Delhi's Environment Minister emphasized that petrol pumps will not dispense fuel without a valid PUC certificate. The Supreme Court's revised stance offers protection primarily to BS4 and newer vehicles.
